ktvu's janine de la vega is in san jose. you've been out there since 4:0 and you just talked to the -- 4:30 and you just talked to the fire official. what are they saying? >> reporter: well, there's still no cause. but the fire official said they will most likely not have investigators come out this morning. they've been spending time in the second-story apartment. they feel they have what they need to figure out the cause. this all started from an apartment that is boarded up because of the severe damage inside. yesterday, residents came back to their apartment to gather essentials. the fire broke out here at 11:00 on saturday night. the red cross is helping house 47 adults an 26 children because there is no electricity in the building and there's still water and smoke damage. their neighbors, a man, his wife, and daughter died in the apartment before firefighters could reach them. neighbors told us in spanish how they feel for the little girl's mother.
